Summer Session C (May 22-June 23)

Biomaterials(Henry Hess): M, T, W, TH, F 10:10 – 11:25 am, T, TH 1:10 – 2:25 pm

  • Introduction to the field of biomaterials, and in particular to the many factors important in the selection, design, and development of biomaterials for clinical applications.

Tissue and Molecular Engineering Lab (Chris Jacobs) M, W, F 1:10-5:00 pm

  • Topics to include cell culture, DNA and RNA analysis, plasmid design and transfection, gels, PCR, biopolymers, cell seeded scaffolds, and microscopy.

Summer Session S (July 3- August 4)

Reproductive Bioengineering (David Elad): M, W, F 1:10-3:40 PM

  • Exposure to bioengineering aspects of human reproduction. The male and female reproductive systems, as well as the reproduction process, are treated from an engineering perspective.

Respiratory Biomechanics (David Elad): M, W, F 10:10-12:40 PM
