Career Placement Officer
Reporting to the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) Vice Dean for Academic Programs, the Department Chair for Biomedical Engineering (BME), and the Department Chair for Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics (APAM), the Career Placement Officer primary responsibility is to place BME and APAM students in full time positions and internships and cultivate employer relationships for placement. The Career Placement Officer will work closely with the BME and APAM faculty, staff, SEAS Career Placement Team, alumni, and the Center for Career Education (CCE) to broaden and deepen relationships with employers, and to develop additional marketing outreach strategies to accomplish this overall goal. The Career Placement Officer will actively work with students to help them achieve their career and placement goals. Additional responsibilities include: collecting/analyzing employment data, generating placement and related reports for the Department/School, assisting with the placement of students in both academic departments, developing relationships with alumni, building and enhancing a database of department specific alumni and employers, designing and implementing career education workshops and programming, and other projects as requested.
