POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

 

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) invites applications for one postdoctoral position in the area of biosignal processing.  The successful candidate will join a new research group that is applying machine learning to physiologic signals to enable diagnosis of various conditions.  Specifically, the candidate will 1) set up an experimental apparatus for drowsiness monitoring, 2) conduct drowsiness experiments, and 3) use the experimental data to develop an automated drowsiness detection algorithm.

 

The candidate must have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering, and have graduated from a biosystems or equivalent track, with a minimum GPA of 3.5.  Dissertation must be based on a physiologic signal, with associated noise minimization, pattern recognition, prediction, or classification algorithm development.  The candidate must have previous Matlab or LabVIEW (preferred) programming experience.
