Internship Opportunities at Philips Research North America
Department: Ultrasound Imaging and Therapy
Briarcliff Manor, NY (~1 hour commute from NYC)
Position Responsibilities:
The project involves gaining knowledge of basic ultrasound imaging, exploring advanced ultrasound imaging techniques, and applying several algorithms for imaging in clinical applications. In addition, the intern will have a role in writing new software for data acquisition as well as algorithm testing on clinical data sets.
Degree/Experience/Skills needed:
Strong background in Matlab and C. Interest in medical imaging, some basic knowledge of ultrasound is preferred but not required. Ideally a graduate student from an ultrasound research group.
The paid internship requires minimum 3 month commitment (starting in May 2008 or earlier), although it may be extended up to 5 months, depending on availability of project budget.
