Equity Research Associate, China Healthcare (based in New York)
Job Summary: Susquehanna Financial Group is looking to expand its China
franchise and is currently interviewing for an Associate to join a ranked
research platform. We are looking to continue Susquehanna's success in
delivering a differentiated research product to the market and are seeking
a highly motivated and talented Associate to support the Senior Analyst in
covering emerging Chinese healthcare companies. This is a New York-based
position available immediately.
Key Responsibilities: Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Research and analyze data from various sources, including, but not
limited to, company documents / materials, regulatory filings, industry
publications, trade shows/conferences, online data services,
physician/academic/industry contacts
Write research, including initiations and various other forms of
research publications
Build / maintain financial models and develop valuation analyses
Survey regulatory /political environment and industry landscape
Develop / maintain relationships with company managements and industry
contacts
The Associate will also work closely with other Associates on the Equity
Research team focusing on China in different industry areas in a
team-oriented environment to bring additional insight to the research
products.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
Science/medical educational background (MD or Ph.D.) and/or
biotech/pharma industry experience required; MBA and/or CFA preferred
Native speaker in Mandarin (reading/writing/speaking) required
Strong financial and accounting skills; proficient in valuation,
modeling, financial statement analysis and financial forecasting
Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills; must be
detail-oriented
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office: Excel (VBA preferred), PowerPoint,
Word and Access; working knowledge of Factset and Bloomberg a plus
Ability to work under pressure; diligent and an independent/critical
thinker
