Columbia University offers a pre-college program for students entering grades 9–12 who are interested in intensive summer study. The program covers all areas of academic study, including a course hosted by the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The summer program Biomedical Engineering: Physical Effects on Cells offers an introduction to the multidisciplinary field of biomedical engineering and the application of engineering principles to solving problems in biology, physiology, and medicine. Students will attend formal lectures and participate in hands-on lab activities on within the BME Department on the Columbia University Morningside Campus.
