Laine elected Chair of Technical Committee on Medical Imaging and Image Processing

Andrew F. Laine, Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Radiology (Physics) has been elected as Chair of the Technical Committee on Medical Imaging and Image Processing (TC-MIIP) of the IEEE Engineering in Biology in Medicine Society. This is three year appointment which includes leadership in areas of (1) Technical governance and recommendations to Programs Chairs of ISBI and EMBS annual conference. (2) Identify leading edge topics attractive for workshops and special sessions. (3) Maintain a reviewer pool to assure high quality of papers published in EMBS proceedings and next generation of leaders within the Society. (4) Recommend Special Issue topics for journal publications in TMI (Transaction in Medical Imaging) and TBME (Transactions on Biomedical Engineering).
